How do I book a mini session?

Mini sessions are posted under the “minis” tab and are organized by dates on the calendar. Once you click on the event details, at the bottom of that page, there will be a booking link that you can follow please to book your session. A 50% non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking, the remaining payment can be made by cash or Venmo on the day of your session.

If I can’t make it the day of my mini session, what are my options?

The 50% deposit made at booking is non-refundable based on the business expenses associated with intention on filling each spot for the mini session events. The deposit is specific to that time and date booked, and is not transferable to another mini session date. If you are unable to make it on the day of your session, you are not required to pay the second half of your mini session fee. If there is a future mini session that you are interested in, you have two options. You can pay a new deposit for that new mini session (with remaining amount due day of session) to guarantee that spot, or, you can let me know which mini event you have your eye on, and if you are ok waiting to find out if there are any openings left 24 hours before that event, I can let you know if there is still an opening for you to claim- in that instance of a mini session spot still being available 24 hours before the event, your original deposit would be honored for that new spot.

How do I book a private half hour, or hour session?

Please get in touch through the “contact” tab, there is a form you can fill out and a guide on important information to include so that I can give you the most information in my first response, to get you booked as efficiently and quickly as possible. There is a 25% non-refundable deposit due at the time of booking to secure your private session time and for that can be made by Venmo. If you prefer email over the contact form, please send your inquiry to alannaolsonphotography@gmail.com

What is the estimated turn-around time for editing and for images to be delivered by online gallery?

This depends on seasonality, and time of year. When there are more sessions in queue to edit, the turnaround will be longer. During the peak busy months of May-November, please plan for or anticipate a 4-6 week turnaround. During the months of December- April, 1-3 weeks turnaround is more typical. Out of fairness for all my clients I work on editing sessions in the order that they are captured; the only type of session that will have a very short 48-hour turnaround is an in-hospital newborn session. All other mini sessions, private sessions, and in-home or studio newborn sessions will follow standard turnaround times. These are estimates, but are standard; times could be shorter, they could be longer- if it will be longer I will be in touch with you to let you know the reason. If you have a need for rush-editing (for an additional fee), please let me know the circumstances and we can discuss in advance to see if we can get that done for you.

Once my gallery of digital edited images is delivered by email, how long do I have to make my selections?

Please choose your “favorite” images within your gallery, then it is important to email me to let me know when your selections are made, so that I can update your gallery for download as quickly as possible. In the past I have not put strict limits on amount of time to choose images, but now with increasing workload it has become a necessary step in the process to ask that you please choose your images within 30 days of receiving your gallery. After 30 days, the gallery will expire and there will be a $25 fee to have the gallery re-uploaded for an additional 30 days. If 6 weeks has passed and you do not have an email from me, my email may have gone to your spam folder, please always check there as well.

It’s been more than 48 hours since I’ve sent an inquiry or email, and I didn’t see a response yet?

I do my best to get back to everyone within 48 hours for inquiries by email, if you do not see a response please also check your spam folder as emails will sometimes end up there, rarely, but it happens.

It’s been over 6 weeks since my session and I have not seen my gallery delivery email?

Please know that I am very strict to my 6 week max turnaround and if editing will ever be over my 6 week mark, I would reach out to discuss with you beforehand. If it has been over 6 weeks and you did not see your email, please first check your spam folder as rarely they do end up there.
